£100
Total cost: £345 including a light post-dawn breakfast, lunch and refreshments. Group of 4.
Join Rachael on the East Sussex coast for an opportunity to work from dawn to dusk. Most of our workshops begin after sunrise because it’s not normally possible to incorporate dawn and dusk into a day-workshop. However, as we approach the winter equinox, sunrise and sunset are closer together, allowing us to create this special, slightly longer than usual, workshop. Due to the limited dates when this can be achieved and the particular tidal range required for Rachael’s chosen locations, we will only be running this workshop occasionally.
During the day, you will visit some of the county’s hidden gems in the area between Camber and Hastings. Although not as well-known as East Sussex’s more dramatic Seven Sisters cliffs, this part of the county offers some equally enthralling subjects and you are far less likely to encounter other photographers. In recent years, this coastline has been the focus of a lot of Rachael’s own photography and she knows the best locations for all conditions. Our exact itinerary will vary depending on the light but may include cliffs, dunes, a wreck, weathered sea defences and plenty more.
Description
This workshop is slightly longer than most of our coastal tours and requires a moderate level of fitness, as there may be some banked shingle to negotiate and some wading. If you are not sure whether it would be suitable for you, email us and we will discuss it in more detail.
You will need to get to the start of the workshop, on the East Sussex coast between Camber and Hastings (exact location to be confirmed a few days before the workshop), under your own steam. You will then have the choice of using your own car to drive between locations or coming in Rachael's car.
